BeeTopDeals is an independent publication covering deals, personal finance, shopping and work. This policy explains what we collect when you visit beetopdeals.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible for your data

What we collect
Information you give us. Most of BeeTopDeals can be read without giving us anything. Some features — quizzes, comparison tools, newsletter signup, our contact form — ask you to enter details. Depending on the feature, that may include your name, email address and phone number. You choose whether to provide it.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, our servers and our analytics tools record technical details: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, which pages you opened, how long you stayed and which links you clicked. This happens on almost every website and is how we understand what people read.
Information from cookies. Cookies and similar technologies store small amounts of data on your device. Our Cookie Policy covers this in detail.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive categories of data — racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion, health information, sexual orientation or biometric data. If you send us any of it voluntarily through a form, we delete it.
We do not collect payment card numbers. BeeTopDeals sells nothing directly.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will remove it.
Why we collect it
We use what we collect to deliver and improve the content on the site, respond when you contact us, send the newsletter if you asked for it, understand which articles are useful, keep the site secure and working, and meet our legal obligations.
We also use this information to display advertising, which is what pays for the site. That is described in its own section below.
Advertising
BeeTopDeals is free to read and carries no subscription. Advertising is our revenue.
Ads on this site are served by third-party advertising partners. Those partners may set their own cookies and may use information about your visit — including your approximate location and browsing behaviour — to select which ads to show you. They operate under their own privacy policies, not ours, and we do not control what they collect.
You can limit interest-based advertising through the settings in your browser or your device, and through the industry opt-out tools listed in our Cookie Policy.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number and tick the consent box, we send you recurring automated text messages. Consent is optional and is never required to access anything on this site.
You can stop them at any time by replying STOP to any message. The full terms, including frequency, cost and how we record your consent, are in our SMS Terms.
We do not sell your phone number and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your personal information.
Your information may be handled by service providers who work on our behalf — hosting, email delivery, analytics and advertising partners. They are permitted to use it only for the purpose we engaged them for.
Beyond that, we disclose personal information only when we are legally required to, when it is necessary to protect the rights or safety of a person, or when it is necessary to protect the site itself against fraud or abuse.
If some part of the site connects you to an offer from a partner, and you choose to proceed, the information you give that partner is governed by their privacy policy. Read it before you submit anything.
Where your data goes and how long we keep it
Our servers and service providers are located in various countries, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected.

BeeTopDeals is operated from Canada, and our handling of personal information follows the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Because we have readers in other regions, we also recognise the rights their local law gives them. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR applies to you and you may also complain to your national supervisory authority. If you are in California, the CCPA and CPRA apply to you. If you are somewhere else, write to us anyway — we apply the same process to every request we receive.
